Evangelization
Evangelizing, Everyday, Everywhere = E3

Evangelizing, Everyday, Everywhere = E3

Evangelization is at the heart of parish life. Without it, a parish languishes and perishes.

The role of the Evangelization Committee is to reach out to people who have no Church family and to help them become aware that Jesus' gospel message, which is incorporated within St. Augustine Catholic Church, will give them the spiritual strength to live as Christians.

The Committee is charged with keeping those who are baptized--but who are no longer walking in the Faith--informed about what is happening at St. Augustine, in hopes of bringing them back to the table of the Lord.

The Committee's Annual Open House, its visitations with members who've not been seen for a long time, and its outreach to neighbors within the parish who have no church home, represent the heart of St. Augustine's and the Paulists' tradition of outreach.

The Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday at 6 p.m.  Al Hudson is the leads the Evangelization Committee and serves as the Parish Pastoral Council representative, also.

“One of the natural signs of a true Paulist is that he would prefer to suffer from the excesses of liberty rather than from the arbitrary actions of tyranny.”
