Our Church Welcomes You
Loyce Cole and Gerald Lane, Evangelizing in the Neighborhood. Welcome, Our Doors are Always Open.
Consider Us

Come to St. Augustine - our doors and our hearts are open!

We hope you'll accept an invitation to visit St. Augustine!  We have a Jubilee School (K4 -6th grade), three week-day Masses, Bible Study for Men and Women, a Clothes Closet, Exercise Classes, Tutoring Classes, and Senior Day Activities, along with one Vigil Mass and two Sunday Masses.  You may come at anytime, but you'll especially enjoy a Saturday evening or Sunday morning worship service.

We are a Paulist-led Parish and we believe in evangelization within the communities we serve, ecumenism or cooperation among various Christian groups, and reconciliation or reaching out to people who, though baptized no longer come to the table of the Lord with us.  Come in, worship, and sign our welcome card; we'll acknowledge you and keep in touch with you, too, if you desire.

Bringing New Souls to Christ and Cooperating for Religious Unity

Pope Benedict XVI Reiterates Two Key Tenets of the Paulist Mission

"The great tasks facing the ecclesial community in the modern world -- and among the many I particularly stress evangelization and ecumenism -- are centered on the Word of God and, at the same time, draw therefrom their justification and support."

Pope Benedict XVI, January 22, 2008

Parish Registration

Should you desire to unite with us formally, and you are a Catholic, all you need to do is register with the parish office. But, remember, you don't have to be a Catholic or become a Catholic to worship with us. Just come--we know God will lead you to the decision that is best for your life.

Baptism and Conversion - Faith Formation

The formation of one's faith is a process.  If you're a baptized Catholic who has not experienced your First Communion or, if you are baptized and of another denomination, and would like to convert to Catholicism and unite with us, after a brief period of inquiry, you may wish to join the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) journey.  As a candidate for full acceptance into our Church, you'll learn many of the tenets of the Catholic Faith, through this journey of interaction, discussion and reflection.

If you are not yet baptized by immersion, intinction or pouring, then your RCIA journey will prepare you to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, also.

Still Searching

You're not alone in your search for that special sense of unity, peace, belonging or love. Many of our parishioners were where you are today, but they felt at home and joined us. Regardless of whether you choose to join St. Augustine, visit us and you'll never forget the worship experience.

At St. Augustine Catholic Church there are new friends just waiting to meet you. We're not just a Catholic Church; we're a Community of Faith. Welcome home!
