  Four Marks of Our Faith

 One. Holy. Catholic. Apostolic.

ONE

"There is one body and one spirit," Paul wrote, "just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all." (Ephesians 4:4-5)

"Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of one bread." (1 Corinthians 10:17)

Jesus had promised at the outset that "there would be one flock, one shepherd." (John 10:16)

Holy

"Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." (1 Timothy 1:15)

"Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the Church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish." (Ephesians 5:25-27)

Catholic

"Catholic" means "universal, in the original Greek and Latin.

In regard to the Holy Spirit touching all throughout the universe :  "...there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven." (Acts 2:5)

Apostolic

From the Gospel: "Go therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  And teach them to observe all the commandments that I gave you."  (Matt. 28,19-20)

"...he sent them out two by two..." (Mark 6:7)

For more information, contact our Priest, Deacons and/or Director of Religious Education.  The above is not a full explanation, but simply a short list of scriptures that indicate some of the basic tenets of what we believe.
